I often take photos of cattle and other animals as I pass them in the fields. Recently I met up with this herd of young ones all waiting at the gate of their field by the sea at Ventry Beach, as if they were expecting to go somewhere.
Cattle are often very curious and jostle and push to get a close look at the one-eyed (telescopic-eyed, zoom lensed) stranger in front of them.
Thanks so much for viewing my post. I hope you all stay safe.

Cows are sentient and sweet. We have free range cattle around us.

It’s great to see them out in the fields. I abhor the practice of keeping cattle in sheds for the whole of their lives. Here they may be housed when the ground gets waterlogged in winter and you should see them leap and run (these big clumsy lumps!) when released on firm grassy fields in early summer. These guys in my pics were in a large grassy field. Keep safe Cindy!

Wow, I love these photographs, they look so healthy and clean 😳 would you mind if I copied one in a future painting? X

Yes, I thought they looked particularly clean. Perhaps they’d had a good shower! Of course you may copy one for your painting Elaine, no problem. Stay safe!
